EECE has a research turnover of approximately £2M per annum ranging from fundamental transformative research to the applied research that underpins Knowledge Transfer. Funding mechanisms include:
Our industrially focused degrees produce highly skilled candidates employed across a wide range of the engineering sector. We train our students to meet the current needs of the market, including in the curriculum of our degrees, industrial placements, co-supervision of project students, guest lectures by practicing engineers, as well as training on sponsored equipment and other sponsored activities.
Moreover, we actively engage in various ways in public private partnership ventures with R&D activities tailored to meet the needs of our industrial partners. We participate and lead several schemes, where co-sponsored by public funds, we undertake R&D jointly with industrial partners. Our team of world-leading scientists and engineers has expertise across a broad field of electrical engineering and access to state-of-art facilities, which can assist our industrial partners to resolve existing technical problems and secure leading position in future markets.
